Mega Man OP is an fan game by Mario Obsessed Fan Interactive, based in the United Kingdom, England. The game uses FMOD and is built with the Mega Engine for Game Maker, created by WreckingPrograms. It was well known for being one of the bad Mega Man fan games ever created as it became infamous for it's low quality due to the game reusing engine assets without variety, along with some unfitting music and a lack of original enemies, Pipe Man's boss fight also became infamous since his boss fight is just a reskin of Pharaoh Man. Along with the Midboss which features Zero which doesn't fit since MMX Took place after the Mega Man Classic Series

Story[]

"In the year 20XX, Mega Man had defeated Dr. Wily for the final time and stood victorious. A hero to be remembered, the famous blue bomber was secretly dying and that he would be gone in a while.

5 years later: Mega Man was no more. Wily was busted out of jail by a new villain who wanted to take over the world and he needed the doctor's help. so the two started their work in the far west part of the world where, unknowingly, a robot was being rebuilt, in hope of protecting the country from threats. A robot built to save the world. named... Mega Man OP"

NOTE: The story isn't mentioned in the final game.

Ending[]

Dr. Cadman's castle blows up after OP defeats him although he clearly escapes via an escape ship. Mega Man walks away, removing his sunglasses and remembering his past in which he headed off somewhere and shut down before being put back online.

Development[]

Before OP Began development development, Megaman Universe Adventure was in the works. Mario Obsessed (Scott) didn't develop the game very well and was looking for a much more advanced engine. The Mega Engine was downloaded to achieve the scenario. Scott was also looking into making a Mega Man fan game with original characters.

Sequel[]

A sequel entitled Mega Man OP 2 began development mid-way through the development of this fan game was uploaded, and Released on March 2nd 2019. And just like the first Mega Man OP, it was also infamous for bad quality although acknowledged to be an improvement over the first one, with original enemies, and More, Mega Man OP World was also in the works, but ended up being cancelled right before completion. Had it not been cancelled, then OP World would take place after the events of OP 2. Mega Man OP 3 Was planned to be in the works, but it never came to fruition.
